My Operating Activities
Since I moved to southern Bavaria in fall 2008, my activity has been reduced a bit. However, I still, sometimes, operate from my old QTH in Kehl, around 400 km from where I live now. Sometimes, I operate from the QTH of DK0IW, or low power with a small balcony dipole. At least, with that antenna, I managed to work ZL8X on 30m. While my preferred mode for contesting and DXing is CW, I'm getting more and more active in RTTY. SSB adds some DX, and there are a few SSB contests in which I participate. In former years, I had the joy to operate more excellent stations especially during VHF and UHF contests, and among those activities, together with DK0LA, DK0OX, DL0DR and DR9A, some top placements incuding a 1st European place in an IARU R1 VHF Contest have been possible.
